For 10 years, Sheila Daniels has toiled on the national transplant waiting list. She suffers from a congestive heart failure, and has lived with a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) since February 2022. To not just survive, but thrive, Sheila needs a heart transplant. As a mother and grandmother, she is anxious that she won’t receive her transplant in time to see her grandchildren grow up. As an employee at a law firm, she awaits the day she can go to work without the pain and suffering of her condition.
