Monica
Monica was diagnosed with kidney disease after her pregnancy in 2002. Her condition escalated after coming down with the flu in 2012 and she fell into kidney failure. She started hemodialysis in 2015 and has been waiting for a working kidney ever since. While she’s attached to a dialysis machine three days a week, Monica hasn’t let that stop her from working and being there for her husband and two kids. She waits for the call that a kidney is available so she can continue being there, setting an example for her children to never give up hope.
Help Monica, Ciera and thousands more awaiting lifesaving organ transplants.
